Analog Magnetostrictive Tank Level Gaug
This tank level gauge uses 16-digit D/A converter, 4-20mA output signal, which is mainly used for precision measurement of liquid level, interface and temperature in the industrial process of oil refining and chemical engineering.
This tank level gauge uses magnetic pulse wave. The head of the liquid level meter (upper part of the tank) will transmit electricity of "Interrogation pulse", and this pulse will generate a magnetic field simultaneously, which moves downward along the induction line within waveguide duct. There is a floater out of the level meter tube, which can move up and down with liquid level and side-bar. There is a set of magnets hiding in the floater and a magnetic field is generated, the two magnetic fields encounter and a new variation magnetic field is generated so a new "Return pulse" is produced subsequently. We can know the liquid level position by measuring the period of "Interrogation pulse" and "Return pulse". The only moveable part of this liquid level meter is the floater, so there will be little maintenance involved and easy installation, and high accuracy. Another characteristic is that it can measure the temperature at the same time, but it is unsuitable for measuring heavy fuel oil.
